To co-op at Marshall Space Flight Center, students must meet the following criteria:
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Have completed at least 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours.
- Attend a four year college or university on a full-time basis. We accept mostly undergraduate students, but we have graduate positions, too.
- If your school has a Cooperative Education program you must be enrolled in it. (Should your school not have a Co-op program, you may still be able to Co-op with us.)
- Have a grade point average of at least 2.9 on a scale of 4. You don't have to be a 4.0 student to Co-op at MSFC! But remember that 2.9 is the very minimum. Averages closer to 3.5 tend to be more competitive.
- Be available to work at least 3 tours at MSFC before you graduate. Your first tour normally occurs during the fall or spring semester. Fall tours typically run from mid-August through mid-December. Spring tours typically run from mid-January through mid-May. Summer tours are available after you have completed a spring or fall tour and run from mid-May through mid-August.
